Became a Cardinal:
Selected in the second round of the June, 2005 First-Year Player Draft. Received a $425,000 signing bonus.

2005 Season:
Webber appeared in 10 games, making nine starts, for short-season Class A New Jersey. He went 5-2 with a 1.87 ERA, allowing 35 hits, striking out 43 and walking 15 in 53 innings before a promotion to low Class A Quad Cities on August 12. For the Swing, he went 0-4 with a 3.41 ERA in five starts, allowing 28 hits, striking out 11 and walking nine in 29 innings.

MISC:
Webber was a closer at CMS, but the Cardinals converted him to a starter.
