CONTRACT STATUS: Signed through 2005, assigned to the Memphis Redbirds.
2005 OUTLOOK: May spend some time between Memphis and St. Louis if there are injuries to the Cardinals' catchers.
2004 SEASON: Put together a solid first season at Memphis (AAA), appearing in a team-high 76 games behind the plate while also
maintaining a .300 batting mark.
MISC: Is a 1991 graduate of Dowling (West Des Moines, IA) High School where he was a first-team All-State shortstop...also
played football and ran track (state qualifier in the high jump)...received a psychology degree from Creighton University in 1995,
where he was an All-Missouri Valley Conference selection in baseball...while at Creighton, was converted from a shortstop
to catcher by manager Jim Hendry...he and his wife, Pam, have a daughter; Aubrey.
