Biography:
Began career as a phenomenal minor league player in the Tigers organization, hit .322 with 28 homers and 146 RBI while with Class AA Jacksonville in 1998. Saw brief stint on ML level with Detroit at the end of that same season and was traded to Texas following 1999 season. Stayed there until he split 2002 between both the Rangers and Colorado. Left Rockies early in 2003, but soon thereafter was signed to a minor-league contract by Red Sox. Hit .291 with 4 homers, 11 doubles, and 23 RBI in 158 at bats while with Boston.
