With the 39th overall pick in the 2008 First Year Player Draft, the St. Louis Cardinals selected Lance Lynn, a right-handed pitcher out of the University of Mississippi. Like their first pick of the day, Brett Wallace, Lynn is a big body player. Comparisons have been made to the Chicago White Sox Bobby Jenks. The Mississippi media guide lists him at 6-5 and 250 pounds.
