DUNEDIN, FL - Alberto Tirado had a very good debut season last year with the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays, posting a sub-3.00 ERA, allowing less hits than innings pitched, and striking out nearly a batter per inning. However, he says he knows he can be better going forward and accomplishing that will require getting ahead in counts a lot more frequently.
