Memphis Redbirds (Triple-A) - Winners over Round Rock 7-4
After two seasons and 18 starts, Blake Hawksworth earned his first win at home Tuesday night as the Redbirds beat Round Rock 7-4 at AutoZone Park. Hawksworth pitched five solid innings, giving up just two runs. Randy Flores threw a shutout inning.
Nick Stavinoha fell a triple short of the cycle, drove in three and scored three runs. His home run was his 15th of the season and his average now sits at .350. Jarrett Hoffpauir had three hits and drove in two runs. Bryan Anderson had two hits and is now hitting .295.

Quad Cities River Bandits (A) - Falls to Clinton 4-2
Brett Wallace had a two-RBI single to account for the River Bandit runs. Adron Chambers singled, stole a base, and drew two walks.
Richard Castillo was tagged with the loss after the Lumberkings scored four runs in six innings off the young right-hander. Matt Spade threw two scoreless innings of relief.

Batavia Muckdogs (SS) - Winners over Tri-City 3-2
With two on and two out in the ninth, Beau Riportella ripped a two-run double to left to drive in two and give the Muckdogs the lead. Adam Reifer came in and closed down the ninth to pick up his 15th save.
Adam Veres allowed two runs while striking out eight in 5.0 innings. Ramon Delgado hurled three shutout innings to pick up the victory.
Riportella finished the night with two hits and three RBIs. Charlie Cutler had two hits pushing his average up to .260.

Johnson City Cardinals (R) - Bombed Greeneville 19-8
The Cardinals were helped by nine Astros’ errors. Curt Smith is positioning himself for a promotion with three more hits to raise his average to a spectacular .387. Also, Smith drove in three more runs and now has 44 RBIs in 42 games.
Alex Castellanos had two hits and scored five runs. Paul Cruz had a double, drew three walks, and scored four runs.
Matt Frevert picked up his third win after hurling 1.1 shutout innings.

Gulf Coast League Cardinals (R) - Fell to the Dodgers 4-3
Reliever Chris Notti was tagged for two runs in the bottom of the ninth as the Cardinals drop another victory. Notti was dominant at times, striking out five in 3.1 innings. Anthony Ferrara had trouble commanding the strike zone, walking four in his five-inning start.
“The King” Steven Hill started his rehab assignment. The 2007 draft pick went hitless in four at bats including two strikeouts.
Rainel Rosario and Ryde Rodriguez both collected two hits. Second baseman Ted Obregon had a rough day in the field. The 18-year-old committed three errors.
