Scout's Cards Minors Player of Month: April

Springfield Cardinals outfielder Shane Robinson was named Friday by Scout.com's St. Louis Cardinals website, The Birdhouse, at www.thestlcardinals.com, as the Cardinals' Minor League Player of the Month for April.

The 23-year-old from Tampa Bay Florida made the roster as the team's fourth outfielder only after an injury to Mark Shorey. Taking the most of this unexpected opportunity, Robinson responded by hitting .410, 2HRs, with 15RBIs, to finish the month of April with a gaudy slash stats of .410/.451/.615/1.066 (BA, OBP, SLG, OPS).
