Cards Post of the Week – March 9 through 15

Posted Mar 17, 2008

Recognizing the very best posts of the past week from our message board community of thousands of St. Louis Cardinals fans the world over.

As we do each and every week here at stlcardinals.scout.com, we call out the best of the best - the “Post of the Week” from our Scout.com St. Louis Cardinals message board.

Here is the link to the Message Boards, of which there are several – for fantasy players, insider information for subscribers, general topics, non-Cardinals sports and more.

This article covers the week ending Saturday, March 15.

A board regular, our 2007 Poster of the Year in fact, “CariocaCardinal”, offered a pair of posts with predictions for the 2008 season for the majors and many minor league players as well. Others offered thoughts and predictions of their own. ”Carioca's 50 predictions for 2008 (#1-#10)” and ”Carioca's 50 predictions for 2008 (#11 -- #20)”.

”competing in 2008” is something every Cardinals fan wants to see, not just “BeauHeart”, who initiated the thread of note. Beau explains why he can be optimistic compared to 2007. That is what spring is all about!

There is no doubt that the club’s signing of veteran right-handed starter Kyle Lohse was the big news of the week across The Cardinals Nation. The thread simply titled ”Lohse”, generated a discussion that is five pages and still going. At the bottom of page four, the initiator of the thread, “ZNARDI”, offered a view of what needs to go right this season for the Cardinals to win the NL Central Division. Our top selection this week is at the end of page one, where “jmodene1” provided a scouting report on the new pitcher.

In recognition of that post, “jmodene” is our winner of “Post of the Week”. He collects a free four-week subscription extension to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other great sites in the Scout.com network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
