This is the time of the year fans thoughts are filled with trade ideas. Often, those kinds of threads are unrealistic and therefore, not worth consideration. However, this discussion is different: ”Formula for Success in 2008”. A number of posters had interesting ideas, including “easton714”, “Flyer914”, thread starter “fpslackers”, “thejager” and more.
On page two of the thread called ”Worst Trades of All Time”, a number of very informative posts were offered, including those by “jmodene1” and “SoonerinNC”.
This week’s winner was a thread started by “CariocaCardinal” in which the decision factors that the Cardinals (or any team) might take into account when considering whether or not to protect a prospect from the Rule 5 draft are quantified. The result is a numeric score for each player. Check out the discussion here: ”40 man roster -- a formula for who to protect for Rule 5 draft”.
