Half of the 52 players drafted last week have already come to terms with the St. Louis Cardinals. Supplemental first-rounder Clayton Mortensen leads the way.

On Tuesday, the St. Louis Cardinals announced that 26 of the 52 players the club drafted in the 2007 First-Year Player Draft last Thursday and Friday have agreed to terms with the organization.

Included is the signing of the Cardinals second overall pick and first-round supplemental selection (36th overall), pitcher Clayton Mortensen out of Gonzaga University. St. Louis also came to terms with their 5th-round pick (172nd overall) Thomas Eager from Cal Poly SLO.

These players are expected to report to Cardinals mini-camp being held this week in Jupiter, Florida in preparation for the players to be assigned to short-season clubs in Batavia (New York-Penn League), Johnson City (Appalachian League) or the newest Cardinals affiliate in the Gulf Coast League (Jupiter).

Following is a list of those agreeing to terms.
