MiLN - Cardinals face Dodgers & Marlins

The St. Louis Cardinals Top Minor League Prospect went 2-for-4 on Tuesday in a losing cause for Double-A Springfield who fell to the Dodgers Double-A club, by a score of 7-3.

Triple-A Memphis and Double-A Springfield played the Marlins, High-A Palm Beach and Low – A Quad Cities played the Dodgers on Tuesday.

 

 

 

Memphis won 6-4

 

Mike Smith 6 IP, 7 hits, 4 runs, 3 ER, 0 BB, 7 K's

 

Mark Worrell two scoreless IP and Mike Sillman pitched a scoreless 9th

 

Edgar Gonzalez, Rico Washington and Tagg Bozied each had two hits - one

of Washington's hits was a 2-run HR

 

 

 

Springfield lost 7-3

 

Cory Rauschenberger 3 IP, 2 unearned runs

 

Jason Motte pitched one inning, allowed an unearned run

 

Chris Perez allowed a two-out two run single to give up his first two

runs of the season in his inning of work

 

Colby Rasmus was 2-for-4 and Juan Richardson had a two run double

 

 

 

Palm Beach lost 5-4

 

Adam Daniels 5 IP, 4 runs

 

Donnie Smith, Danny Borne and Zach Zuercher each threw a scoreless

inning

 

Sean Danielson and Dan Nelson each had two hits and an RBI

 

 

 

Quad Cities won 3-1

 

Shaun Garceau 4 IP, 2 hits, no runs, 0 BB's, 5 K's

 

Matt Lane two scoreless IP

 

Ken Maiques and Mike Schellinger one scoreless IP each

 

Brandon Buckman 2 doubles

 

Luke Gorsett and Jared Schweitzer each had RBI hits
