Post of the Week – Mar. 4 through Mar. 10

Recognizing the very best post of the week from our message board community of thousands of St. Louis Cardinals fans the world over.

As we do each and every week here at, we single out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Cardinals message board, this time for the week ending Saturday, March 10.

Here is the link to our new Message Board.

A very active thread, with 40 posts and growing, is called "Right field". On March 10, poster "haltz" looked at a series of sabermetric stats to evaluate Juan Encarnacion and John Rodriguez' defense. As a result, "haltz" receives our "Post of the Week" recognition this week.

"irrigator5" began another busy thread entitled "Early returns", where short capsules on a number of Cardinals spring training combatants were offered. "fewgoodcards" joined in right after, with some other solid observations.

Other honorable mention posters last week include "BobReed5" in the "Brad Thompson" thread, where he commented on pitching staff candidates and "LouBrock", who provided stats on Braden Looper's effectiveness by pitch counts in the thread "Looper looked good".

Our winner, "haltz", collects a free four-week subscription to and all the other great sites in the network. A special tip of the cap to Leonda Markee for tracking the best posts this past week.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
