Post of the Week – Jan. 14 through Jan. 20

Recognizing the very best post of the week from our message board community of thousands of St. Louis Cardinals fans the world over. While you are at it, check out our brand new Board.

As we do each and every week here at, we single out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Cardinals message board, this time for the week ending Saturday, January 20.

Here is the link to our new Message Board, which became our new home this past Monday, January 15. Please bookmark it in your browser if you haven't already.

Our first honorable mention post is on page two of the thread, "Weaver is Negotiating", where "BobReed" offered six very compelling reasons why the Cardinals should re-sign free agent starting pitcher Jeff Weaver.

Another set of popular subjects last week originated from the various reports by attendees at the multiple Cardinals Caravan stops and the Winter Warm-Up convention in St. Louis. Though technically it was posted last week, it would be a crime not to call out "bccran's" post, starting the thread "WW with Moseliak this Morning". bccran shared in considerable detail the presentation by Assistant General Manager John Mozeliak and others at WWU.

Our winner this week, "Smartpig", had a very unique opportunity that provided him a considerable leg up on the other posters this past week. Smartpig scored an invite to the Cardinals visit to the White House this past Tuesday and shared a full report here: "Cardinals at the White House".

No matter your political leanings, any Cardinals fan had to be proud to see their heroes recognized by our Nation's Chief Executive. (While you are on that thread, make sure you click on the link provided at the top to view the official White House video of the event.)

In recognition of a fine series of posts, "Smartpig" gobbles up a free four-week subscription to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
