Post of the Week – Jan. 7 through Jan. 13

Recognizing the very best post of the week from our message board community of thousands of St. Louis Cardinals fans the world over. While you are at it, make sure you check out our brand-new Board.

As we do each and every week here at, we single out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Cardinals message board, this time for the week ending Saturday, January 13.

Here is the link to our new Message Board, which is our new home starting on Monday, January 15.

A long, detailed and continuous at times comparison of the Cardinals and their NL Central Division rival Milwaukee Brewers included a drill-down on the respective centerfielders. "SkinnyPimp" compared Jim Edmonds and Bill Hall on page four of the thread "Milwaukee A Real Threat - I Say yes".

Another five-page mega-thread is called " Cardinals re-sign Mulder", its primary subject quite clear. There, on page two, "duckymedwick" compared quality starts between Mark Mulder's 2005 and the 2006 seasons of the top two free agent pitchers this year, Barry Zito and Jason Schmidt.

Several of the other Cardinals additons this past week were discussed in a thread labeled "New Signings". At the top of page two, "bodomchild" compared the steroids cases of Ryan Franklin and Barry Bonds.

And finally, our winner this week, "irrigator5", started a new thread with some well thought-out predictions about which unheralded Cardinals players might break out in 2007. The thread is called "Call-up crystal ball".

In recognition of a fine post, "irrigator5" collects a free four-week subscription to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
