Post of the Week – Dec. 24 through Dec. 30

Recognizing the very best post of the week from our message board community of thousands of Cardinals fans the world over. The winner of this recognition receives a free four-week subscription to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other fine sites in the Scout.com network.

As we do each and every week here at stlcardinals.scout.com, we single out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Scout.com Cardinals message board, this time for the week ending Saturday, December 30.

The thread "2007 Minor League Predictions" has had 45 posts and over 1000 views this past week. "CariocaCard" opened the bidding with a series of forecasts of player performances by position. Others joined in, including notable posts by "fpslackers" on page one looking at players by level and on page two, "UncleBuck44" looked at the top starters at the upper levels of the Cardinals minor league system.

"KylMss" reminded us on page one of the thread "players and winning" that baseball is a business.

One thread took us back down memory lane with a former Cardinals player, Bud Smith. On page two of the thread "Bud Smith" and in his/her first post on the site, "kscardsfan" recapped Smith's pitches per start during Bud's breakthrough 2001 season at the age of 21.

And finally, our winner this week, "Jmodene1", enhanced a thread started by "mikdo" with several posts offering an analysis of the innings pitched by Cardinals starters over recent seasons here: "World Series Winners Pitching Staffs- Innings Pitched - Huge".

In recognition of several fine posts, "Jmodene1" collects a free four-week subscription to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other great sites in the Scout.com network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
