Recognizing the very best post of the week from our message board community of thousands of Cardinals fans the world over. The winner of this recognition receives a free four-week subscription to and all the other fine sites in the network.

As usual, we single out the best of the best right here - the “Post of the Week” from our Cardinals message board, this time for the week ending Saturday, November 18.

During this week, the general focus on the board seemed to look at other teams’ signings, in some cases with contempt and in others, somewhat longingly. Others were focused on some emotional debate over what should be the best role for Adam Wainwright in 2007.

A major focal point, but not the only one for this starting vs. closing discussion has been the 16-page mega-thread entitled ”Official Hot Stove Trade/Rumor/Signing post”.

One of the many posts from this thread is especially noteworthy. At the bottom of page 13, “coopdeville25us” offered a very compelling analysis of the value of a number two or three starter versus a closer.

One other post stood out last week deserving an honorable mention. It was from “highrent” and guess what? The subject was Adam Wainwright, looking at his history and projecting his optimal role for next season. ”Wainwright closing next year”.

In recognition of a fine post, “coopdeville25us” wins a free four-week subscription to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
