Post of the Week – Sept. 10 through Sept. 16

Recognizing the very best post of the week from our message board community of thousands of Cardinals fans the world over. The winner of this recognition receives a free four-week subscription to and all the other fine sites in the network.

As is the case every week, this article calls out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Cardinals message board, this time for the week ending Saturday, September 16.

Our winner this week, "BeauHeart", not only forecasted why he selected his players for the 2006 playoff roster, but he also compared them to their 2005 counterparts here: "One year ago today – 09/15/06" .

This week's honorable mentions include another of the interesting posts from regular "fpslackers". Check the thread "Minor League Leaders: Batting", where a combined list of the best hitters in a number of statistical categories are offered.

A relatively new poster, "RCWarrior", provided a list of possibilities as to the make-up of the 2007 outfielders at the various levels of the Cardinals system in the thread "My conversation with Joe Cunningham".

In the thread, "What to do 2007 – Mark Mulder?", reader "greenback44" offered a well-thought out set of factors that may influence pitcher Mark Mulder's decision as to where he plays in 2007.

Finally, in the thread, "The Albert Effect", regular "SydneyDave" looked at the number two spot in the batting order, comparing and contrasting the results delivered by the many players tried there this season.

In recognition of a fine post, BeauHeart wins a free four-week subscription to and all the other great sites in the network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
