Post of the Week– August 13 through August 19

Recognizing the very best post of the week from our message board community of thousands of Cardinals fans the world over. The winner of this recognition receives a free four-week subscription to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other fine sites in the Scout.com network.

Like every week, this article calls out the best of the best - the "Post of the Week" from our Scout.com Cardinals message board, this time for the week ending Saturday, August 19.

Some weeks, it is difficult to make a selection and other times it is most obvious to the other members of the community, which means even I can pick it up. This was one of those weeks.

This week's "Post of the Week" is awarded to "SydneyDave", a three-time winner. Dave looked at players who have reached the majors from every organization over the last ten years and came up with a conclusion about the Cardinals' drafting that was counterintuitive to many. The thread "Cards Best At Drafting in the NL" has generated 72 replies so far and over 1400 views and is still active.

In fact, this work was so notable, SydneyDave repackaged his research into an article that was posted here on the main site on Monday. It is called "Cardinals Among MLB's Best At Drafting".

As if to cement his place on the top step this past week, SydneyDave also receives an honorable mention for his analysis of the Cardinals results against left-handed pitching here: " The Cards and LHP".

There were other solid posts last week, too. And, they don't always have to be statiscally-laden. One such example is the thread "Memphis Redbirds", in which "SkinnyPimp" made our mouths water with his reviews of restaurants in the Cardinals' Triple-A city.

Finally, a regular poster, "Frank22", receives another honorable mention for his reporting of Baseball America's historical rankings of minor league systems on page three of the "Drafting" thread started by SydneyDave and linked-to above.

In recognition of his fine posts, SydneyDave wins a free four-week subscription to stlcardinals.scout.com and all the other great sites in the Scout.com network.

Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
