The selection of this week’s “Post of the Week” from our fine message board was easier than some as the quantity of reader contributions seemed to drop, even as spring training workouts have begun. Still, there was plenty of good information shared, including the following:
- A veteran poster from other sites, but a relatively-new member here, daniducci, delved into the definition of a “critical at-bat” and some of the implications of it during a discussion about ”Edmonds Strikeout Totals for 2006”. That thread drove 28 responses.
- One of the most prolific and articulate posters in the Cardinal Nation, jmodene1, offered a thorough analysis of new Cardinals signee, pitcher Josh Hancock here: ”Hancock signing”. This thread drew in over 650 viewers.
- A past Post of the Week winner, Frank22, is still at it, asking some excellent questions while showing legitimate concern over the durability of new second baseman Junior Spivey in a new thread he started called ”2nd thoughts”.
In fact, Frank22 is this week’s winner, our second repeater. He was also the week #2 selection back in October. In addition to the above thread, Frank22 shared the list of all past top Cardinals prospects on Baseball America’s list all the way back to 1990 in the thread The 5 Who Missed BA's Top 100 . Because of these posts and the intelligent discussion that ensued, I am please to announce Frank22 as our weekly winner.
Thank you for your continued contributions to our community, Frank22, and please keep making these fine observations. And, congratulations to all of last week’s honorable mention posters.
In recognition, Frank22 wins a free four-week subscription to www.thestlcardinals.com and all the other great sites in the Scout.com network.
Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
