Choosing this week’s “Post of the Week” from the hundreds on our fine message board continues to present a major challenge. Some of the best recent posts included the following:
- bokanon offered an excellent contribution on page two of the thread called “Bonds”, where he analyzed Hank Aaron and Mark McGwire’s stats in this long-running Hall of Fame debate. This thread has reached almost 1000 views.
- On the next page of that same discussion, snabby made his sixth-ever post here a memorable one. snabby documented seven very significant advantages Bonds receives from the “protective” apparatus he wears on his elbow.
- Among the posters on the thread “hypocrite or rational businessmen?” includes OkieCardinal, who provided some very rational and solid thoughts about a ticklish subject – how the Cardinals treat departing players.
For the second consecutive week, our winner excelled at both quantity and quality. This poster was selected because two posts made our “best of” list this past week. Poster “Cordane” preceded bokanon on the Bonds thread with an excellent Hall of Fame analysis among McGwire, Bonds, Sammy Sosa and Rafael Palmeiro.
In addition, Cordane laid out four different ways a manager could handle his fifth starter as a part of the thread “Reyes vs. Ponson”. As a result of his contributions, Cordane receives the recognition as the Poster of the Week for Week 16, January 29 through February 4.
What is even more impressive than his knowledgeable posts is the fact that they were Cordane’s first two on the board. He joined the community this past week and reports that he is posting from “behind enemy lines in Waukegan, IL”.

Cordane, thanks for joining our community and please keep making these fine observations. Congratulations to you as well as to all of last week’s honorable mention posters.
In recognition, Cordane wins a free four-week subscription to www.thestlcardinals.com and all the other great sites in the Scout.com network.
Next week, it can be you! So, keep posting!
