Hanson, 24, finished the 2005 season with a career-high 97 RBI's (second in the Texas League) and 20 home runs.

The Cardinals named Hanson their Minor League Player of the Month for May. The infielder for Double-A Springfield, was named the top player in the organization after hitting .303 with 21 runs scored, five homers and 23 RBIs. In addition he was twice the organization's player of the day.
