There is no doubt that the highlight of the past week – perhaps of the entire 2005 Cardinals season – was Albert Pujols’ dramatic three-run home run off Astros closer Brad Lidge in the ninth inning on Monday to send the National League Championship Series back to St. Louis for Game Six.
As a result, our first contest winner is an easy selection. With his take-off on the classic poem, “Casey at the Bat”, entitled “Pujols at the Bat”, member Cardinal70 commemorated the big event perfectly. A number of other posters agree.
