The Season in Review - Springfield October 3, 2005 This is the second in my series of year-end reviews of each of the St. Louis minor league teams. Each report requires a bit of explanation, which I gave in the Memphis report, so will not repeat here. However, three more items require clarification: - The terminology used for the two levels of full-season A ball is their official classification titles of A and A-Advanced rather than the commonly used "Low A" and "High A". The corresponding Cardinals teams are Quad Cities and Palm Beach. - The 2005 levels are listed in order each player experienced them so any promotion or demotion is clear. - "Type of Pitcher" – a pitcher qualifies for the "strikeout" designation with a ratio of one strikeout per inning pitched or higher which corresponds to 33% strikeouts or more.
