Q&A With A's 3rd-Round Pick Chad Pinder

TROY, NY - After a three-year career at Virginia Tech that left him as one of the most accomplished players in team history, Chad Pinder was selected with the 71st overall pick in the 2013 draft. Donald Moore spoke with Pinder towards the end of his pro debut season.

In this year's draft, the Oakland A's had three picks on the first day. With that third pick, they selected infielder Chad Pinder. The Virginia Tech star had an impressive career for the Hokies, posting OPSs of 878, 917 and 888 in his three seasons in college.
