The Cubs had 72 different players put on the uniform in Mesa as young prospects got their first taste of pro ball and MLB veterans used the AZL to rehab from injury. Jeffrey Baez and Mark Malave were two of the better hitters for the young Cubs squad while Daury Torrez and Erick Leal gave a glimpse of the future on the mound.
