Salt Lake Bees 3 – Tucson Padres 4
Key Statistics LHP Jason Lane 7.2 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, BB, 3 Ks (W, 2-0); RF Jaff Decker 2-4, 2B, HR (9), 2 RS, 2 RBI, BB; 2B Dean Anna 3-4, 2 2B, RBI, BB.
Prospect Watch: The Dean of Swing continues to just hit. Anna has hit in nine of his last ten games with as many walks (five) as he has strikeouts (five). He has hit over .300 in every month this year and has had an OPS over .900 in every month. In 12 second half games Anna already has eight extra-base hits, a .453 OBP, and an OPS north of 1.000.

San Antonio Missions 4 – Corpus Christi Hooks 3
Key Statistics LHP Juan Oramas 4.2 IP, 9 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 5 K; SS Jeudy Valdez 3-4, 2B, HR (8), 2 RS, 2 RBI; 2B Cory Spangenberg 3-3, 2B, RBI.
Prospect Watch: After hitting only three homeruns in 69 first half games, Jeudy Valdez has suddenly found his power. Valdez has hit five homeruns in 28 second-half games including three home runs in his last six. Valdez has been bipolar this season; hitting 213 in April, .320 in May, .219 in June, and now .294 thus far in July.

Fort Wayne TinCaps 2 – Dayton Dragons 3
Key Statistics RHP Joe Ross 5 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 3 K; SS Tyler Stubblefield 3-3, 2B, HR (4), 2 RS, RBI, BB; LF Luis Domoromo 2-4, 2B.
Prospect Watch: It wasn’t Ross’ best start and nowhere close to his most dominating, but he got the job done. It was the second time in his last three outings that he has thrown a shutout. After posting nearly a 3:1 K:BB ratio through most of the first half, Ross has a 17:10 K:BB ratio over his last six starts going 1-3.
For further reading on the TinCaps’ please see the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette.
Eugene Emeralds 5– Vancouver Canadiens 3
Key Stats: RHP Bryan Verbitsky 3 IP, H, BB, K; CF Wynton Bernard 2-3, 2 RS, BB; RF Hunter Renfroe 1-4, 2B, RS, 2 RBI.
Prospect Watch: Whatever Verbitsky does over the next few years he will always be judged harsher than nearly every other 2013 draftee because he was considered an "overdraft" in the third round. Verbitsky has managed to keep a solid 2.45 ERA, and close to 10 K/9 ratio. However the Padres haven’t really stretched him out, never letting him go more than five innings. He also has a disappointing 34:23 K:BB ratio, walking more than five batters per nine innings.

AZL Padres 4– AZL Rangers 5
Key Stats: RHP Adrian De Horta 3 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 4 K; SS Franchy Cordero 2-5, HR (2), 3 RBI; 1B Jake Bauers 2-4, RS.
Prospect Watch: Hopefully the three-run homerun that 1B Jake Bauers hit yesterday will give him some momentum. After going 2 for his last 24, Bauers hit the home run yesterday and followed it up with two more hits today.
The .193 batting average is still horrible but hopefully the multi-hit game will help move him in the right direction
