Sacramento River Cats Tucson Padres 2
Key Statistics: LF Travis Buck 2-4, 2B, HR(5); 2B Jonathan Galvez 3-3, SB(12); CF Cameron Maybin 1-3, CS, K;
Prospect Watch: Jonathan Galvez extended his latest hitting streak to five games with a 3-for-3 night Friday. After being hobbled by a pair of leg injuries last year, the 22-year-old has already matched his 2012 season total with 12 stolen bases. While his average is creeping back towards .300, his isolated power rate is at a career low right now. … The back of the Tucson bullpen continues to struggle as Brad Boxberger and Brad Brach gave up three runs over their three innings, yielding a combined six hits and two walks. … Cameron Maybin joined Yasmani Grandal as part of the big league contingent suiting up in Tucson. Both players had a single, though Maybin was thrown out trying to steal after his first inning line drive.

San Antonio Missions 4 Arkansas Travelers 1
Key Statistics: RF Reymond Fuentes 1-3, 3B, BB, SB(19), 2RBI; 3B Jake Blackwood 2-4, 2 2B; RHP Donn Roach 6IP, 3H, 1R, 0ER, 4K, 2BB
Prospect Watch: Donn Roach got back on track after getting roughed up in his last two outings. The 23-year-old sinkerballer allowed only one unearned run on three hits in his six innings of work, though he struggled a bit with his command. In addition to walking two, Roach had a wild pitch and hit a batter as he threw a season-high 95 pitches. Only three balls were hit to the outfield in his first five frames. … Rey Fuentes is now among the top five Texas League hitters in average, walks, on-base percentage, stolen bases and runs scored as he continues his remarkable season of re-emergence as a prospect. He had a single on Friday to extend his hitting streak to six games.

South Bend Silver Hawks 7 Ft. Wayne TinCaps 3
Key Statistics: 3B Gabriel Quintana 2-4, 2B, 3RBI; 2B Diego Goris 2-4, 2B; RHP Ruben Mejia 2.2IP, 8H, 5ER, 2K, 2BB
Prospect Watch: Ruben Mejia had his roughest outing as a starter Friday night, failing to make it out of the third inning. After starting the year in the bullpen, the 21-year-old Dominican had given up only five runs in 18.1 innings over four starts coming into the night. However, Friday he was torched for eight hits over only 2.2 frames and would have given up more than his five earned runs if not for Corey Adamson throwing out a runner at the plate to end the first inning and a nifty double play behind him in the third. … Gabriel Quintana plated all three of the TinCaps runs with a single and double. The 20-year-old third baseman is now hitting .303 on the year, but still sports a troubling 39:3 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He has drawn only one walk in 78 plate appearances this month.
