The SeaWolves needed offense on Thursday and a lot of it, which is what James Robbins and company provided for Erie. Robbins knocked in five runs on a 3-for-5 night to go along with a team total of 15 runs driven in, just enough to top Trenton 15-14. Lakeland was on the other end of the spectrum, falling in a 1-0 final. Toledo and West Michigan didn't play due to rain.

Thursday night was not a good time to be a starting pitcher in Erie, as both the SeaWolves and Trenton saw offensive explosiveness on the way to a 15-14 Erie win. Starting pitcher surrendered four earned runs on five hits in five innings of work, which pales in comparison statistically to Trenton starter Matt Tracy who was tattooed for 10 earned runs on nine hits in three innings. Reliever Justin Souza earned his second win of the season after two earned runs in 1 2/3 innings. James Robbins had a huge night for the SeaWolves offensively, going 3-for-5 with a home run while driving in five runs in the win. James McCann also had a big night for Erie, pounding two doubles while driving in three runs.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
4-10, 6th in North Division

Team R H E
Dunedin 1 4 2
Lakeland 0 7 0

Lakeland and Dunedin may have had the pitcher’s duel of the year on Thursday, as neither team scored a run until the thirteenth inning as the Flying Tigers fell 1-0. Starting pitcher Kyle Ryan was impressive in a no decision, going eight innings while giving up just one hit and striking out three. Reliever Jade Todd earned his first loss of the season after giving up the winning run in the final frame on one hit and a walk. Dean Green had the best night for the Flying Tigers offensively, going 2-for-5 while drawing two walks in the loss.
