Severino Has Room To Grow

Severino has flashed three plus pitches in camp

TAMPA, FL - Right-hander Luis Severino turned heads during Instructional League this offseason and he's doing the same during minor league Spring Training camp thus far. He's not only showing a plus fastball with above average command, but he's been showing some unbelievable potential with his two secondary pitches as well.

"I feel good," Severino said through the help of a translator. "Sometimes it's a little tiring because it's hard work over here -- it's very different from the Dominican Republic -- but so far I feel good." If he is tiring he surely isn't showing it. He's been sitting anywhere from 92-96 mph with his fastball in camp thus far and he has been throwing his heater consistently for strikes...
