Chris Cron Welcomes Newcomers to Erie Staff

Cron returns to manage the Wolves for his 3rd year

Chris Cron will return to the Erie SeaWolves for his third season as the club's manager. Along with him will be a pair of newcomers to the team and organization; pitching Jaime Garcia and hitting coach Gerald Perry.

Since joining the organization in 2011, Chris Cron has emerged as a well-respected manager, and for that reason, will return for this third season with the organization.

Cron has a history of success, being a minor league manager for 18 years. In 2012 with the 'Wolves, he earned his 1,000th career victory.

At pitching coach, Jaime Garcia joins the club from the Astros organization. He was most recently the GCL Astros pitching coach, and prior to that served as the organization's minor league pitching coordinator.

The hitting coach will be Gerald Perry, who has spent more than 15 years serving as a hitting instructor across major league and minor league teams. In 2012, he served as the Pawtucket Red Sox hitting coach, while also previously serving the Chicago Cubs and Oakland Athletics in the same role. He was also named the hitting instructor for the USA for the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
