Monday's Player of the Day: Tyler Lyons

Mark Hamilton lands a job in Mexico. Tyler Lyons allows one run over five innings for the win, Ryan Jackson doubles and drives in one, and David Kopp earns the save in Arizona. Cesar Valera homers and knocks in two and Roberto Espinoza triples in three in Parallel League play.

Arizona Fall League

 

Ryan Jackson (Springfield-Peoria) started at first base and batted eighth.  1-for-4 with one double, one RBI, one strikeout, and assisted in one double play.

Tyler Lyons (Palm Beach-Peoria) started and pitched five innings.  He allowed four hits, one earned run, one walk, hit one batter, threw one wild pitch, and struck two out for the winning decision (3-2). (p-s:56-37)(g/f:5-5)

David Kopp (Memphis-Peoria) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed one hit, no runs, and struck one out for the save (2). (p-s:13-8)(g/f:1-0)
