The Cardinals' 2005 Cy Young and MVP winners turned back the clock in Saturday's night's win.

Chris Carpenter and the bullpen made two first-inning runs hold up as the Cardinals defeated the host Marlins 2-1 on Saturday night. Albert Pujols' two-run home run made up the Cardinals scoring. Daniel Descalso added three hits as St. Louis won their third straight in Florida.
